Board meeting October 13, 2016

Called to Order by King Lion Steve Campbell
Present: Lions Jerry Lonon, Brian Powell, C.B. Willis, Steve Campbell, Ed Gibbons, Don Raines, George Winton, Ken Gough, Tim Tapp
Business: PDG Ed Gibbons made the motion to purchase hearing aid molds in the amount of 240.00. This would be for two eight -year old boys. Jerry Lonon made a second and the motion carried.
PDG Gibbons brought a financial report showing an income of 7,062.96 with 5,000 transferred for the Lion’s Park Pavilion project. Total expenses were 17,412.76 leaving a balance of -10,349.80. The club has 12,059.86 in total assets. Ken Gough made a motion to accept the report with a second by George Winton. The motion carried.
George Winton announced that the Turtles are ready to go but we are going to need help. We have 119 turtles and we can sell more right up until the day of the race.
Ken Gough stated that he appreciated all of the eyeglass recycling help.
PDG Gibbons announced that pecans would be delivered November 1.
Brian Powell and C.B.. Willis will be handing out tickets for Turtle Derby at local schools tomorrow.
Don Raines announced the advertising campaign for the Turtle Derby and stated that it has gone well including a television interview.
King Lion Steve Campbell reiterated the need to sell turtles and stressed the need for at least 320 turtle sales. With no further business to come before the board the meeting was adjourned.
