The Johnson City Lions Club Board of Directors meeting was held on Thursday Feb 10, 2022, at 12 noon at the Johnson City Country Club. Present at the meeting were Lion Steve Campbell (President), Lion Ken Gough, Lion George Winton, Lion Ed Gibbons, Lion Steve Campbell, Lion Jerry Lonon, Lion Don Raines and Lion Doris Kaifa (Secretary).
The meeting was called to order by President Steve Campbell.
The Minutes of the last meeting were accepted by consent.
Treasurer Ken Gough presented the January financial report, which was accepted by consent.
Committee and Project Report:
The President asked for committee and project reports.
Nominations for officers for the next term were opened. Lion Doris Kaifa was nominated for President, Lion Steve Campbell for Secretary and Lion Ken Gough for Treasurer. Motion to accept and close nominations by Lion Ken Gough, second by Lion Ed Gibbons. Motion unanimously carried.
The district 12N Convention is March 18th & 19th.
The board agreed to reimburse Lion Ed Gibbons $24 for new Lions member certificate frames.
New Business:
The Smoky Mountain Vision Van will be in Johnson City helping with eye screening on May 21st.
Announcement:
Next regular meeting is Feb 17, 2022. We will have a speaker from the Langston Center.
With no further business, the meeting was adjourned by President Steve Campbell.
