Nobody won the drawing and so the money rolls over.

King George ask that whoever provided his office 3 bags of pecans for the nut drive own up to it so he can give that person credit for his/her largesse.
A sign-up sheet was passed around for the Zone meeting which will be held at the ETSU campus club on Tuesday, February 3. Five signed up today. You can sign up by calling the secretary at 943-6756.
DG Lion Ed Gibbons asked that the district convention which will be held Friday, February 20th & Saturday the 21st right here in River City (well Creek City anyway) for several reasons:
• The convention will be held at the Carnegie Hotel and we’ll be the hosts and hostesses.
• Friday night’s dinner is free and entertainment will be provided.
• There also will be entertainment Friday evening and a very reasonable charge for lunch and dinner Saturday.
• DG Lion Gibbons has worked very hard for this club and for the district this year; at the very least we should support him by attending the convention.
Come on, guys, let’s make this a very successful event! 100% attendance is the goal. 98% will be OK. 97% or below will NOT be OK!!!!! Applications available in District News and Views, out today at a computer near you.
Our speaker today was Stacy Lawson, co-founder and leader of “The River” a ministry for women in the community who need help. The River operates in downtown Johnson City. It was originally organized 10 years ago so women in need had a place to do laundry and help and get encouragement from each other. Now there are branches in Kingsport, Virginia and Texas.
Meeting adjourned at 12:59 PM
Lion John Merriss
