District Governor Mike McDonough and wife Jane visited us on August 15 with an optimistic message – the retirement of increasing number of baby boomers gives us a great opportunity to recruit enthusiastic, community-minded people looking for a meaningful way to spend their time. And 1st VDG Ed Gibbons brought a guest (and prospective Lion), Jerry Mathieson, for a visit. Jerry’s father was a Lions for 40 years in New York and an avid pin collector. Rather than letting them collect dust in his attic, Jerry donated the collection to us. You should have seen Jerry Lonon drooling! Thanks, Jerry, we’ll put them to good use!
